Welcome to the Housing Authority Research website! We are committed to providing safe, affordable, and quality housing to individuals and families within our community. Our mission is to enhance the quality of life for residents through effective programs and services, while fostering opportunities for self-sufficiency, community engagement, and economic mobility.
As a public agency, we partner with local governments, community organizations, and other stakeholders to support housing solutions that are accessible and equitable. Our goal is to ensure that every person has access to a stable living environment that contributes to their well-being and future success.
Our goal is to equip landlords with the information and motivation they need to thrive in their business. Our focus is to provide education to our community regarding the benefits of accepting tenants with housing vouchers.
The United States government has hundreds of agencies and programs. Some work well, and some maybe don’t work as well as we might want them to. We think one of the most effective government programs out there is the The Housing Choice Voucher (HCV) program, also known as Section 8. HCV is a federal program that helps with finding and subsidizing rental homes for low-income families, the elderly, and people with disabilities. The program is administered by public housing agencies (PHAs) that receive federal funds from Housing and Urban Development (HUD). The HCV program is a shining example of a great public/private partnership between a government agency and private businesses. The HCV program is a rarity in that you have three different groups achieving their goal, while benefiting the overall society at the same time.
1) Government achieves its goal of reducing homelessness and providing quality housing for its population.
2) Tenants are able to get quality housing at a greatly subsidized price.
3) Landlords are able to get market rate rents or sometimes above market rate rents for their rental properties with a large portion of that rent guaranteed by the US government. We at housingauthorityresearch.
